Synopsis

Programme is based on Diana Baumrind's Parenting Styles Theory with focus on Authoritative Parenting Style.

Teens today face diverse internal and external struggles, and many would rather follow their friend's advice then to talk to their parents. Parents too struggle to engage teenagers and often feel helpless to provide them with any guidance. Many families disengage and teens drift.

During this workshop parents will learn to take back their parenting authority to set expectations and guide teens to meet their developmental needs and achieve their aspirations. Parents will learn positive engagement strategies and how to set goals and boundaries with their teens.

Through interactive activities, learn how you can coach your child as they learn to correlate the importance of goal setting and time management to achieving their purposes in life.
Parents will be taught how to use the SMART guidelines in setting goals. They will also be taught simple techniques to coach their child in managing their time without compromising on their family time. Parents will also get some practical tips on how to coach their child when preparing for exams.

Parents are at a loss when they see an angry child who is belligerent and acting out. It is not only upsetting the parent, it impacts the whole family. This session helps us to understand what anger is all about and identify situations that are likely to trigger anger. We learn how to apply appropriate intervention techniques to help our children manage and release his/her anger safely.

Program berdasarkan Teori Gaya Keibubapaan Diana Baumrind dengan fokus pada Gaya Keibubapaan Berautoriti.

Remaja dewasa ini menghadapi pelbagai perjuangan dalaman dan luaran, dan ramai yang lebih suka mengikuti nasihat rakan mereka kemudian berbincang dengan ibu bapa mereka. Ibu bapa juga sukar untuk melibatkan remaja dan sering merasa tidak berdaya untuk memberi mereka bimbingan. Banyak keluarga melepaskan diri dan remaja melayang.

Semasa bengkel ini, ibu bapa akan belajar mengambil balik hak asuh ibu bapa mereka untuk menetapkan harapan dan membimbing remaja untuk memenuhi keperluan perkembangan mereka dan mencapai cita-cita mereka.
