This annual iconic event is back at Gardens by the Bay from 20 to 28 January, heralding the Lunar New Year. You and your loved ones can soak in the beauty of glowing lanterns, participate in games and catch live performances by getai singers and local artistes.

Also happening at Gardens by the Bay from 13 January to 26 February is Dahlia Dreams, a vibrant springtime landscape featuring adorable rabbits in the midst. Admission fees to the Flower Dome apply.
Chinatown CNY Street Light-up

The highly anticipated street light-up at Chinatown will be back from 3 January to 19 February, covering areas including Kreta Ayer Square, New Bridge Road, Eu Tong Sen Street and Upper Cross Street. While at it, you can swing by the shops in the vicinity to pick up your festive décor and snacks—a festive fair will be held from 1 to 21 January in the evenings. And if you and the family are up for a boisterous event, get ready for a countdown party on 21 January at Kreta Ayer Square.

Little India comes to life from 14 to 17 January with the celebration of Pongal, a traditional Indian festival. With its roots in South India, the farmers give thanks to the Sun God for a bountiful harvest. Take a leisure stroll in the bustling Little India to catch light displays, workshops and a Festive Village where you can buy spices and décor items.
For a more in-depth look at Pongal, you can also take your family to the Indian Heritage Centre for its annual Pongal Open House, which will be held over two weekends in January.
