Camping provides a good excuse to get away from modern distractions in our daily lives such as funny cat videos on the internet, never-ending episodes on Netflix and playing with the newest selfie app on our mobile phones.
Camping gets the family together to connect over conversations and helps us learn more about one another through simple activities that require us to work together.
Built around families, Families for Life Council has put together a family-focused camp, Families for Life P.L.A.Y. Camp, where activities are specially designed for parents to learn and play with their children and build stronger bonds with each other.
With limited access to the Internet or other fancy gadgets, you will have to work with your family in parent-child bonding activities and rely on each other to complete the task at hand. It is also a chance to let your child lead the way. You may be surprised at who turns out to be the creative problem solver and probably learn something new about your child.
The camp site, near Sembawang Park, has beachfront views where you can get close to nature and spend the night star-gazing, if the skies allow. Out in the nature with plenty of space to explore, this is an adventure for the family. This camp is suitable for children from age 10 years.
