Families For Life | Bersamamu

For Muslim couples who will be getting married, they begin their Bersamamu journey with a face-to-face meeting with their selected Kadi or Naib Kadi prior to their solemnisation ceremony. The couples will be provided with pastoral support and safe space to discuss sensitive topics with their Kadi / Naib Kadi. The couples are encouraged to attend complementary marriage preparation programmes.

Their Kadi / Naib Kadi will support couples through the first two years of their married lives and may refer them to enhancement programmes, such as Project ARIF and KidSTART.

Since August 2023, the Bersamamu programme has been expanded to provide additional specialised support on marriage and family through Pergas’ Asatizah Solace Care with access to female Asatizah (Islamic Religious teachers).

Couples may also participate in the Bersamamu Forums held at various venues such as the mosques. Organised as an engagement platform for Muslim couples, the speakers for the forums feature local Asatizah, including Kadi / Naib Kadi, and marriage counsellors, to discuss on marriage and parenthood topics such as overcoming marital challenges and attaining the values of Sakinah, Mawaddah & Rahmah in a marriage.
