1. General
1.1. By clicking on the "I Agree" button in the registration form, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions set forth by Families for Life Council and SAFRA.
1.2. The Families for Life Celebrations 2019, hereby referred to as The Event, is organised in accordance to the rules and regulations of Families for Life Council and SAFRA, hereby referred to as The Organisers.
1.3. The Organisers reserve the right to use any photograph, motion picture, recording, or any other record of this event and its participants for any legitimate purpose, including commercial advertising and future publicity for the event on any platform such as social media, traditional media channels and in-house media platforms.
1.4. The Organisers reserve the right to amend the terms and conditions without prior notification.
1.5. The Organisers reserve the right to cancel or postpone the event without any prior notification, in which case, the fees are non-refundable.
2. Registration
2.1. Only Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents are eligible to register for the Event. The main registrant should be at least 18 years of age.
2.2. Families must register their participation online via the registration page. Email registrations will not be accepted.
2.3. Registration will not be accepted after the closing date.
2.4. Upon successful registration, you are not allowed to change the session that you have registered for.
2.5. All registrations are non-transferrable and non-refundable.
2.6. To ensure that your details are correct, please check and update your personal particulars before registration closes. Please note that only changes to personal particulars will be accepted.
2.7. The Organisers will not be responsible for any dispute arising from incomplete or incorrect information submitted by participants.
2.8. Completion of the online entry form evidences the participant’s agreement to abide by the rules and regulations of the Event.
2.9. The Organisers reserve the right to limit and refuse entries.
2.10. The registration will only be completed when full payment is made.
2.11. All registrants will receive an auto-generated confirmation email after successful registration. Please check your spam/junk folder if you do not receive the email.
2.12. Registration will end once quota for each activity/session is reached. Each household address may select multiple activities but is only limited to ONE registration per activity/session. Duplicate registrations with the same household address for the same activity will NOT be accepted. Please do not combine different families onto one registration.
3. Personal Data
3.1. By registering for this event, you agree to be bound by SAFRA’s Privacy Policy (a copy which may be found at http://www.safra.sg/general/privacy-policy, as amended from time to time, which outlines how SAFRA manages your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012, and will be deemed to have consented to the collection, use and/or disclosure of your personal particulars by the Organisers. For the purposes of organising this event, and/ or uses by the Organisers for analysis and research purposes pertaining only to matters in relation to such events/ programmes.
3.2. All registered participants will be included into the contact lists belonging to the Organisers to receive regular updates on future engagement events and programmes organised by the Organisers, as well as opportunities to contribute, share opinions and/or acquire feedback through any of the contacts provided through any means.
3.3. Please update the Organisers of any changes in address or contact details so as to facilitate communication, by emailing to spevents@safra.sg.
3.4. Any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other media records of this event may be used by the Organisers for any legitimate purpose, including any commercial and marketing uses, and/ or to be uploaded onto the Organisers’ public sites and channels. In the event that registered participants do not wish for his/her photographs and/ or any other media records of him/ her at this event to be used by the Organisers, please inform and provide clear instructions to the Organisers in writing to spevents@safra.sg.
4. Disclaimer of Liability, Indemnity, and Governing Law
4.1. The Organisers will not be responsible for, and need not consider, lost, late, illegible, misdirected, incomplete or garbled registration, no matter what the reason for the registrations being lost, late, illegible etc. The reasons may include, but are not limited to technical, hardware, software, telephone or Internet functioning issues, virus contamination, network or human errors, howsoever caused, including through the Organisers’ negligence.
4.2. Except for death and personal injury resulting from the Organisers’ negligence, the Organisers disclaims all liability for any loss or damage of any nature whatsoever suffered by the registrant which arises from or is connected to his or her participation in the Event.
4.3. The registrants shall indemnify and hold harmless the Organisers against:
a) Any claim or action by any person for loss or damage arising from or which is connected to the registrant’s registration;
b) Any claim or action by any person for infringement of any intellectual property rights, which infringement arises from or is connected to the registrant’s registration;
c) Any loss or damage suffered by the Organisers arising from the registrant’s registration.
4.4. These terms and conditions shall be subject to, governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore for every purpose and the Singapore courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from the said terms and conditions.
5. Assumption of Risk and Release Waiver of Liability
5.1. By participating in this event, I consent to accept all risks (known and unknown), including the risk of any negligence by the Organisers, consultants, sponsors and/or volunteers, and assume full responsibility and risks of all nature for my participation in the Event.
5.2. Unless proven to be attributable to negligence on the part of the Organisers, I, by participating, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, accept personal responsibility for any injury (including but not limited to personal injury, disability, dismemberment and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability and/or expense, or any kind or nature, that I or my property may suffer before, during and/or after my participation in the Event whether arising in whole or part, directly or indirectly, out of or in connection with the Event or my participation therein.
5.3. I acknowledge and accept that some of the possible risks associated with participation in the Event include, but are not limited to: injury, illness, disability, death; injury-related risks such as sprains, strains, fractures, cuts, bruises, heat and cold injuries, illness, drowning or near-drowning, animal and/or insect bites and/or stings; accidents such as slipping, falling, health-related issues like heart diseases, potential permanent paralysis or risks created by other Event participants.
5.4. I understand that while the Organisers strive to reduce the presence of risks through the employment of rules and equipment, these risks still exist.
5.5. Unless proven to be attributable to negligence on the part of the Organisers, I, the participant, agree that I will participate in the Event entirely at my own risk, and the Organisers, including its subsidiaries and affiliates, distributors, promotors, sponsors, consultants, the owners, lessors and lessees of property, facilities and equipment used in connection with the Event and their directors, officers, employees and agents, (“Releasees”) will not be responsible for any damage or personal injury to myself (including death), and/or loss or damage to any property sustained as a result of participation in the Event.
5.6. To the maximum extent permitted by the law of Singapore, I release and forever discharge the Releasees all liabilities in connection with the Event.
5.7. I agree to indemnify the Releasees in connection to the Event and other related activities against any injury (including fatal injury), loss, claim, liability, damages, expenses or costs of any kind or nature of any person or corporation. I also agree to indemnify the Releasees against any claim made by any party arising from any act or omission on mine in connection with this Event.
5.8. I also waive any rights I, my family, estate, heirs or assigns may have to sue any Releasees from all present and future claims regarding my participation in the Event. This includes but is not limited to any loss, damage or personal injury (including death) sustained by myself as a result of participation in the Event.
5.9. By participating in this event, I hereby undertake to cooperate fully with all rules and regulations of the Event and any other relevant organisations and authorities, including but not limited to safety instructions.
5.10. I have no medical condition that would affect my safety and physical well-being or the safety and well-being of other participants arising from my participation in this Event. I attest that I have no injuries and defects that could interfere with my safe participation in the Event and that I am physically and medically fit to participate in all activities associated with the Event.
5.11. I agree and acknowledge that I am responsible for my own safety and that I will be participating in the Event at my own risk. I also acknowledge that it is recommended by the Event Organisers that I obtain and maintain my own insurance coverage in relation to my participation in the Event, and that if I do not obtain and maintain such insurance, I shall be responsible for any associated consequences, be it financial, medical or others.
5.12. I consent to the administration of first aid and other medical treatment and transportation in the event of any injury or illness. I hereby release and indemnify any Releases from any and all liabilities or claims arising out of such treatment. This release extends to any liability in connection with the medical treatment and/or transportation.
5.13. I understand and acknowledge that participation in the Event will be deemed full agreement to each and every term herein. I shall dutifully and fully abide by the rules and terms herein (which I have previously reviewed), as well as any applicable laws.
5.14. I understand that the Organisers will not be responsible for any valuables or belongings misplaced at the event area.
6. Family Fun Walk
6.1. Each registrant who registers for the Family Fun Walk will receive ONE Fun Pack, which is inclusive of an Event Tee, Participant’s Bib and Goodie Bag.
6.2. All participants must only wear their assigned participant’s bib. Transfer of participant bib is strictly not allowed.
6.3. Only registered participants for the Family Fun Walk are allowed access to the Start Point. Participants must wear their assigned participant bibs on the front of their attire near their chest area at all times during the Family Fun Walk.
6.4. Participants will be able to participate in the Family Fun Walk within 1 hour of the commencement of the Family Fun Walk. Any participant who reports later than this grace period will not be allowed to participate in the Family Fun Walk.
6.5. While every reasonable precaution will be taken by The Organisers to ensure participants' safety, participants are advised to exercise due care and The Organisers shall not be liable for any loss and/or damage, whether personal or otherwise, and howsoever arising.
6.6. The Organisers reserve the right to remove any unattended bags at the event premises for security reasons and will not be responsible for any losses and/or damages to the belongings.
6.7. E-scooters, skates and roller-blades are not allowed for the Family Fun Walk.
6.8. Families with wheelchairs and prams are allowed to participate in the event, however, they are only allowed to enter the last wave for flag-off, due to safety reasons.
6.9. All participants who successfully complete the route will be awarded a Completion Medal at the Finish Line, with the participant’s bib as proof of participation.
6.10. Should any participant feel unwell in the course of the walk, he/she should stop and seek immediate medical attention at the designated medical posts along the route or at the End Point.
6.11. Participants are advised to dress appropriately and wear comfortable shoes for the Family Fun Walk.
7. Family Fun Walk Fun Pack Collection
7.1. All registered participants are to collect their Fun Packs at the Family Fun Walk Fun Pack Collection. Fun Pack Collection will be held on 22nd and 23rd June, at SAFRA Punggol (Jelutong Room) and SAFRA Toa Payoh (Dance Studio) respectively. The timing for both days will be from 9am to 6pm.
7.2. The Fun Packs will not be issued to participants after the designated collection period.
7.3. For collection, please bring along the confirmation email or NRIC/Passport for verification purposes. The Organisers reserve the right to refuse collection by participants who do not present the required documents.
7.4. If participants are unable to collect their Fun Packs in person, they may authorise a representative to collect on their behalf. The following documents must be presented when the representative is collecting the Fun Pack:
