Terms and Conditions for Families for Life FFL Celebrations 2015 Instagram Contest 2015 (#FFLCWefie)
1. Contest Period
1.1 The #FFLCWefie initiative is a contest organised by “Families for Life” (hereby also known as Contest Organiser) in conjunction with the Families for Life Celebrations 2015 event happening on 5 September 2015 at Resorts World Sentosa, Universal Studios Singapore. The organiser, Families for Life is a people-led council aimed at promoting strong and resilient families.
1.2 The #FFLCWefie initiative will run over a period of 11 days from 1800hrs on Friday, 21 August 2015 to 2359hrs on Monday, 31 August 2015 on Families for Life’s social media platform, Instagram profile https://instagram.com/familiesforlife.
2. Eligibility
2.1 Subject to clause 2.2 below, any person who is 13 years of age and above (persons below 13 years of age is to seek parental or guardian consent before submission of entry), and is a Citizen or Permanent Resident of Singapore may submit an entry to take part in the contest (“entry”).
2.2 This contest is not open to the Contest Organiser, including the Families for Life Secretariat team who is involved in administering the contest, and their immediate family members.
2.3 Those who have successfully balloted for the Families for Life Celebrations 2015 Passes and have been informed via email and SMS notification, will not be eligible to win another set of Passes in this contest(including the main registrant and the other registrants in the registration list).
3. How to Enter Contest
3.1 During the eligible period of participation, participants can upload photo entries in order to take part. Each participant has to capture and share a family photo including the self of the photographer also known as ‘wefie’. This can be done in the form of a picture posted on the Families for Life Instagram profile. The picture must be accompanied by a caption ‘What Family Time Means to Me’. Entries must include 2 hashtags “#FFLCWefie” and “#IChooseFamilyTime and tag @familiesforlife. All picture submitted must be submitted via the participant’s public Instagram profile as this will enable judges to view the entries. Top ten (10) entries will be then selected by the Families for Life appointed judges based on creativity of the photo and the caption. Upon judgement and discretion by the judges, winners will be then awarded with the prize giveaway.
3.2 Entries submitted will be judged by their originality, overall creativity, amount of effort in taking a wefie family picture and must include the hashtags as specified in the contest. Submission must be made via a genuine Instagram profile created by the original participant with valid personal details. Entries which do not meet these criteria will be rejected, and the relevant entry considered invalid as a result, by the Contest Organiser, at any time during the contest period. The Contest Organiser’s decision in this matter shall be final. No entrant will have the right to challenge the Contest Organiser’s decision. The Contest Organiser is not obliged to give any reasons for its decision, and will not engage in any conversation or correspondence with any person regarding its decision.
3.3 The Contest Organiser reserves the right to verify the validity of all entries and reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for tampering with the entry process, otherwise submitting an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions.
3.4 At the end of the contest period, the top ten (10) winning entries decided by the Contest Organiser will each win 6 passes to Families for Life Celebrations 2015 event happening on 5 September 2015 at Resorts World Sentosa, Universal Studios Singapore.
3.5 The decision on the winning entries and whom the prizes should be awarded to, and what prizes should be awarded shall be made by the Contest Organiser, whose decision shall be final. No entrant will have the right to challenge the Contest Organiser’s decision. The Contest Organiser is not obliged to give any reasons for its decision, and will not engage in any conversation or correspondence with any person regarding its decision.
3.6 Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged with the Contest Organiser for cash.
3.7 If for any reason this Contest is not capable of running as planned, whether caused by infection by computer virus, mobile phone failure, line drop out, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the Contest Organiser which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity of the Contest, the Contest Organiser reserves the right in its sole discretion, (subject to any written direction given by a relevant Regulatory Authority), to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. The Contest Organiser may in its sole discretion disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.
4. Conditions for a Valid Entry and Rejection of Invalid Entries
4.1 To be valid, the entry submitted must comply with the following requirements:
4.1.1 Meet the eligibility requirements set out in paragraph 2 and 3 above;
4.1.2 The entries must not contain any language which is pornographic, obscene, sexually suggestive, racist, in some manner offensive to a particular group or individual, or otherwise deemed inappropriate by the Contest Organisers.
4.2 The Contest Organiser reserves the right to reject (and if necessary, remove) any entry it deems to be in violation of clause 4.1 above at any point during the contest period. Its decision is final. No entrant will have the right to challenge the Contest Organiser’s decision. The Contest Organiser is not obliged to inform the entrant of its decision, to give any reasons for its decision, and will not engage in any conversation or correspondence with any person regarding its decision.
5. Contest Administration
5.1 Winners will be announced on the Families for Life Instagram profile within three (3) working days after the contest closes (ie. 3 September 2015).
5.2 Winners of the top ten (10) selected entries are required to submit their full valid details via email to engage@familiesforlife.sg. These details will be used for the sole purpose of validating, verifying and to contact the winners wherever required.
5.3 The Contest Organiser reserves the right to change any of these Terms and Conditions in any manner it deems fit, without prior notice. The Contest Organiser may also terminate the contest, scale it down or otherwise modify it as it sees fit, if it sees the need to do so.

6. Right to use the picture and submission
6.1 The ownership of the intellectual property in all entries submitted remains with the entrant. However, the Contest Organiser shall have the right to use the entries, to attribute it to the entrant, and to refer to the entrant’s participation in the contest, and his/her results in the contest, in any print or electronic publication, as it sees fit. This includes the Instagram Re-gram feature and Facebook Cover/Post of the Families for Life social media pages and other publicity efforts.
7. Collection of Prizes
7.1 All winners are to send an email to engage@familiesforlife.sg containing the winner’s full name, NRIC number, full address, mobile number and email address for the collection of prizes.
7.2 Prizes which are not collected at the date of event (ie, 5 Sep 2015) will be forfeited.
7.3 In the event that the winners cannot be reached via Instagram profile or email address used to submit the entry (for example if no reply is received, or the e-mail is stated by the system to be “undeliverable”), their prize will be forfeited.
7.4 In the event of any dispute regarding the identity of the entrant, all entries will be deemed to have been made by the holder of the Facebook associated with the entry. Thus, if Person A submits an entry with Person B’s Facebook account, for example, Person B will be assumed to have made the entry instead of Person A.
8. Disclaimer of Liability, Indemnity, and Governing Law
8.1 The Contest Organiser will not be responsible for, and need not consider, lost, late, illegible, misdirected, incomplete or garbled entries, no matter what the reason for the entries being lost, late, illegible etc. The reasons may include, but are not limited to technical, hardware, software, telephone or Internet functioning issues, virus contamination, network or human errors, howsoever caused, including through the Contest Organiser’s negligence.
8.2 The Contest Organiser will not use your personal information contained herein for any purposes other than which is deemed necessary for the administration of this contest whilst according your privacy or confidentiality the highest priority.
8.3 Except for death and personal injury resulting from the Contest Organiser’s negligence, The Contest Organiser disclaims all liability for any loss or damage of any nature whatsoever suffered by the entrant which arises from or is connected to his or her participation in the contest.
8.4 The entrant shall indemnify and hold harmless the Contest Organiser against:
(a) any claim or action by any person for loss or damage arising from or which is connected to the entrant’s participation in the contest;
(b) any claim or action by any person for infringement of any intellectual property rights, which infringement arises from or is connected to the entrant’s participation in the contest;
(c) any loss or damage suffered by the Contest Organiser arising from the entrant’s participation in the contest.
8.5 These terms and conditions shall be subject to, governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore for every purpose and the Singapore courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from the said terms and conditions.
