I Still Do Couples' Picnic FAQs
About Families for Life “I Still Do” Couples’ Picnic at Empress Lawn, Civic District
An annual marriage outreach programme by Families for Life Council, “I Still Do 2019” (Feb-Apr) aims to encourage couples to love and care for each other regardless of their differences, and be committed to making the relationship work. Couples can look out for tips and articles on building a strong marriage and a line-up of equipping marriage talks and fun couple-bonding activities on Families for Life website. One of the event highlights is “I Still Do” Couple’s Picnic where couples can enjoy a romantic evening, with a picnic, dance, music performances and movie screening under the stars. Event is free, on a walk-in basis.
On Registration
1. When is the event?
The event is taking place on Saturday, 16 March 2019, 4pm – 9.30pm at Empress Lawn, Civic District.
2. Do I need to register prior event?
Couples do not need to register for Families for Life “I Still Do” Couples picnics and can join the event as walk-ins for free.
3. Who can join this event?
Soon-to-wed and married couples can join this event.
4. Can we bring our child/children along?
All the activities are planned for couples and we hope that you could leave your cares at home and enjoy couple time at the picnic.
On Event Day
5. What time should we be at the event?
The picnic will start at 4pm. Couples are encouraged to come earlier to get a good picnic spot.
6. Must I pay for the activities at the event?
Couples can enjoy all the activities at the event for free, on a first-come-first-served-basis and while stocks last on event day.
7. What happens if it rains heavily or there is bad haze on the event day?
This is a rain or shine event. Event and weather updates will be posted on Families for Life Facebook page at www.facebook.com/familiesforlife.sg.
8. Will there be any sale of food and drinks at the event?
There is no sale of food and drinks. Couples are encouraged to bring your favourite food and drinks to create your unique picnic experience! Families for Life mobile café will be distributing coffee, tea and light snacks, on a first-come-first-served-basis and while stocks last on event day.
9. How do I participate in the Lucky Draw?
To enter the Lucky Draw, catch and scan the QR code flash on the screen and complete the e-feedback form. Lucky draw winners will receive email notification after 8pm informing to collect their prize from the Information Booth. Prizes not collected by 9.30pm will be forfeited. No collection is allowed after the event.
10. Can I bring a chair / beach chair / stool / table?
Safety is important to give everyone an enjoyable experience at the event. As such, foldable tables, chairs or stools are not allowed at the event.
11. Can I bring a tent or small canopy structure to provide shade?
No tents or other structures with canopy are allowed at the event as these might cause obstruction and pose a safety hazard to other participants.
12. Are there toilets at the event?
There are portable and public toilet facilities located around the venue.
13. Is there wheelchair access?
The venue is wheelchair accessible. Please check with the on-site crew.
14. How could we dispose of our trash?
Trash bins are available at the event ground. Please ensure that your area is litter-free when you leave to create a pleasant experience for everyone.
