Families For Life | En Community Services Society / MinFAM - Foundations Building Marriage Preparation Programme

A 10-hours facilitated workshop, available in both English & Chinese language, focuses on the couple’s needs, who choose to have foundations building contents in the marriage preparation programme, for example the essence of a covenanted marriage, the non-negotiable elements of cultivating and growing of a lasting marriage.

Facilitated by qualified and experienced trainers / ministry educators, include husband-and-wife teams. This programme provides couples with evidence-based, evidence-informed relationship handles and tools to build a strong foundation for a lasting marriage; includes marriage tips such as FFL PREP Tips, PREPARE / ENRICH marital relationship 6 core exercises for in-class learning. Optional on taking P/E Relationship Assessment Report or similar relationship or behavioural assessment.

What you will learn:

  • The foundations of a covenanted marriage, the non-negotiable elements of a lasting marriage, the principles in building up the 7 components of wellness in marriage.

  • Roles and expectations, communication and conflict management

  • Emotional connection and sexual intimacy

  • Financial unity, family planning, friendship & leisure

  • Family of origin and in-law relationship, community support

Who is this programme for:

Age: 21 years and above

Nationality: At least one spouse is a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident

Marriage Duration: Soon-to-wed or newly-wed couples (married less than 2 years)

Format: Individual Couple - 10 hours (offered by both En Community Services Society and MinFAM)

Group - 4 or 3 sessions totaling 10 hours (offered only by En Community Services Society)

Cost: S$460 (Group)
