Right in the middle of the crowded East Coast Park, you will find the tranquil Bedok Jetty, a favourite spot for anglers and those looking for quiet respite. If you’re not into fishing, the jetty has now become a spot for children to run off steam, chat with recreational anglers and ogle at their catch. For extra early risers, Bedok Jetty is also where you can get a magnificent view of the sunrise.

What’s a day of physical activity without good food as a reward? A mature town like Bedok is chock full of hawker centres and coffeeshops with stalls that have earned legions of fans over the decades. There isn’t one specific location to mention here but most foodies won’t be disappointed by places like the East Coast Lagoon Food Village (satay and sambal stingray, anyone?), Bedok Interchange Hawker Centre (the carrot cake is a must-try) and Fengshan Market & Food Centre (where you can find a highly raved about soupy bak chor mee).
