A Spanish Serenade with Sunflowers
From 1 to 30 October, the Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay will transport you to the region of Andalusia in southern Spain, known for its rich culture and gorgeous natural landscapes. Feast your eyes on a vibrant display of sunflowers and other popular Spanish blooms such as pelargonium, petunias and evergreen palms. Plus, learn about the region’s art and culture through this immersive exhibition.

Deepavali Open House at Indian Heritage Centre

SSO Babies’ Proms
This highly popular event by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra is finally back on 8 October after a long hiatus. Specially curated for parents and children under the age of six, the musical adventure features accessible tunes as Waltz of the Flowers by Tchaikovsky and the Theme from Jaws and allows the little ones to learn all about the different instruments in an orchestra.

Hare & Tortoise
Does slow and steady really win the race? And how can two characters of opposing personalities find a way to work together? Hare and Tortoise, a play by the Singapore Repertory Theatre, teaches children aged three and up the importance of making space for everyone’s talents and abilities in a fun engaging manner. The performance runs from 26 October to 13 November at the KC Arts Centre. Tickets are available via Sistic.

Octoburst! at the Esplanade
To celebrate Children’s Day, the Esplanade is offering a slew of free family activities and programmes on 7 October. The fun starts at 10am at the Forecourt Garden where you can catch Kinderland Preschool Marching Band (made up of adorable preschoolers!). Plus, there will be performances by the Kids’ Philharmonic Orchestra, K-pop dancing,, meet-and-greet with Pip, the Esplanade’s mascot and more.
