Celebrate National Day as a Family

Catch the National Day celebrations and community activities at the below five heartland locations over the weekend of 5 and 6 August 2023! Get involved in the sport try-outs, experiential activities (e.g. archery, skateboarding, etc.), kampung games and crowd favourites such as bouncy castles and community mural painting.

On National Day (Wednesday 9 August), there will also be aerial flypasts through the heartlands and fireworks at the above heartland sites. Look up to the skies between 5.30pm to 6.30pm for a chance to catch the flypasts going on their Western and Eastern routes. Fireworks are expected to set off at the heartlands between 8.15pm to 8.25pm, and you can book your viewing spot from 6.00pm onwards.

Go on an Adventure with the “A Prince, An Explorer and a Girl” Play

Let little ones aged 3 to 6 years old experience theatre by bringing them to this PLAYtime! 2023 production at The Esplanade, happening from 11 August to 27 August 2023. A story about three islanders on the idyllic Batu Bulat, this performance requires you to figure out what really happened by watching and listening closely to each character’s story.

There may be moments where children will be invited to express their opinions and thoughts as part of the performance. A delightful experience awaits for young lovers of mystery and adventure.
