While quality family time doesn’t come with a price tag, unique experiences can get costly. However, our little red dot has no shortage of fun activities to do as a family, and we’ve compiled some of our favourites that can help you stick to your budget while making unforgettable lifelong memories!
Artground
As Singapore’s first multi-disciplinary children’s arts centre, Artground offers a fun, artsy experience for families with little kids. Both Artground locations have uniquely themed and inclusive playgrounds for the little ones to explore. Those with limited mobility or sensory needs can feel at home and enjoy the fun!
Artground also offers art-related programmes. From dance parties to batik painting, you and your child can spend quality time together through the arts. We recommend the Memories Café programme which promotes intergenerational bonding through meaningful activities!
Cost: $8 per child, $5 per adult for entry + $10-30 to sign up for programmes. Blue and orange CHAS cardholders can enter the playground for free!
KidsSTOP
Education meets entertainment at KidsSTOP, an indoor playground with plenty of space for the little ones to explore! This massive play area features multiple zones like the Four Seasons, where kids can learn about seasonal changes; the Giant J slide, where children can experience the sensation of free fall; and the Dino Pit, where children can enjoy a sensory experience and work as a team to find and identify fossil parts.
KidsSTOP’s website has a comprehensive list of sensory levels for each zone so you can plan around your little one’s needs.
Cost: $10 per child and $5 per adult on peak days. $5 per child and $2 per adult on off-peak days.
Canopy Park
Relax and unwind at the Canopy Park located on the 5th floor of Changi Jewel! This sprawling wonderland features plenty of space for family fun. Run through the clouds with your kids at Foggy Bowls and enjoy the beautifully sculpted topiaries with your loved ones. The slides at Discovery Slides are also built for adults, allowing everyone in the family to make the most of this adventure!
Cost: $6 entry fee per child or adult.
Hay Dairies
This one’s for the animal lovers! Take your family to Singapore’s only dairy goat farm, Hay Dairies, and get a one-of-a-kind experience that won’t cost you a dime! Entry is free, and your family can get a behind-the-scenes look at the goat milking process. You can also meet and feed the goats (at an additional cost).
Cost: Free entry. $5 for a packet of Alfalfa Hay to feed the goats.
Singapore’s unique playgrounds

PropNex Family Zone Playground
Located at Gardens by the Bay, you can say hi to our mascot, Becky Bunny, and spend the day on the swings, the climbing towers, the pretend market stand stocked with wooden cut-outs of fruits and veggies – and more! The playground transforms into a spectacle at night with glowing sandpit projections and synchronised light displays.
Choa Chu Kang Mega Playground
The playground comprises three different areas, catering to children of all ages. From towering climbing towers to mega slides and pirate-themed play areas, plenty of memories are just waiting to be made here!
